Full Po-iDMY sequence,a second sex-linked iDmrt in an inverterbrate, Tropical Rock Lobster, Panulirus ornatus.

We used the rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE) technique and an annotated male genome; we found the full sequence of Po-iDMY which is only in the male genome. Po-iDMY is a valid genetic sex marker and is likely residing in the Y chromosome of the species, same as in the eastern, but it has low expression across embryo, metamorphic stages and adult tissues tested, suggesting it might not tightly regulate the insulin-like androgenic gland hormone (IAG) as it was indicated in the eastern.
