Assessment of chimeric artifacts formation in capture-seq libraries

In these libraries, a pool of known amplicons encompassing 20 human Alu sequences has been subjected to capture and enrichment with the ultimate goal of assessing whether the indexing PCR can generate chimeric artifacts in which any pair of the 2 input Alu sequences are recombined, resembling a non-allelic homologous recombination event.
