Metagenomic analysis of bacteria in a long-term freshwater anammox column reactor

We predicted the metabolic potential of coexisting bacteria in a freshwater anammox enrichment culture, which was operated for more than 15 years, fed with ammonia as the sole energy source, and lacked an external organic carbon supply. In this study, we used metagenomic deep-sequencing analysis using HiSeq and Sequel platforms to assemble coexisting members in an anammox enrichment culture.
