本研究对北京动物园圈养大熊猫的几种重要病毒性传染病进行普查、监测,旨在综合评测各类常用的大熊猫病毒性疾病检测技术,探讨在临床检验中如何做到高通量、快速、准确的对疾病进行诊断。并对大熊猫的病毒性疾病进行流行病学调查,获得圈养大熊猫重要病毒性疾病的流行病学资料,为促进大熊猫疫病防控和进一步研究大熊猫病毒性疾病奠定基础。基于高通量测序技术,对大熊猫粪便及排出粘液样本中可疑致病菌进行快速检测,在此实验基础上对样品进行深度选择,后期进行细菌与病毒的宏基因组测序工作,找出粘液形成过程中所参与菌群的功能,对大熊猫临床诊断、治疗和预防未知病毒感染具有重要意义。
This study performed a census and surveillance of several major viral infectious diseases affecting captive giant pandas at the Beijing Zoo, with the objectives of comprehensively evaluating all commonly used detection technologies for giant panda viral diseases and exploring approaches to achieve high-throughput, rapid and accurate disease diagnosis in clinical laboratory settings.
Additionally, an epidemiological investigation of viral diseases in giant pandas was conducted to obtain epidemiological data on key viral diseases in captive giant pandas, thereby laying a foundation for promoting the prevention and control of giant panda diseases and further research on giant panda viral diseases.
Based on high-throughput sequencing technology, rapid detection of suspected pathogenic bacteria in fecal and expelled mucus samples from giant pandas was carried out. On this experimental basis, deep screening of the samples was conducted, followed by metagenomic sequencing of bacteria and viruses in the later stage. The aim is to clarify the functional roles of the microbiota involved in mucus formation, which is of great significance for the clinical diagnosis, treatment and prevention of unknown viral infections in giant pandas.
