This dataset contains the anonymized raw data supporting the study entitled "Effects of differential external pneumatic compression pressures on recovery and repeated sprint performance: a randomized placebo-controlled crossover study." Twelve recreationally trained men completed four experimental conditions in a randomized, single-blind, placebo-controlled crossover design: passive control (CON), placebo compression (PLA), external pneumatic compression at 90 mmHg, and external pneumatic compression at 190 mmHg. Each trial included a repeated-sprint cycling fatigue protocol, a 20-min condition-specific recovery intervention, a subsequent repeated-sprint performance test consisting of five 10-s maximal sprints separated by 60 s of passive recovery, and a final 30-min passive recovery period. The dataset includes participant characteristics, the number of sprints completed during the fatigue protocol, mean and peak power output, blood lactate concentration, mean arterial pressure, vastus lateralis muscle oxygen saturation, total hemoglobin, and rating of perceived exertion. Blood lactate, mean arterial pressure, and perceived exertion were assessed at predefined time points throughout the experimental protocol. Muscle oxygen saturation and total hemoglobin were recorded during each sprint and recovery interval of the repeated-sprint performance test and normalized to the trial-specific baseline value. All participant data have been anonymized.
