The School Council Employees Dead Books were created to document the employment of principals, art teachers, lab technicians, teachers in technical schools, administrative and other non-teaching staff who retired, resigned, died or otherwise ceased service during the period 1920 - 1974. It also includes teachers whose employment later fell into one of those categories. Occasionally an entry is noted as having been transferred to the card system. Employees still in service in this period remained in VPRS 14015, School Council Employees.Information captured varies from volume to volume but is largely the same. It may include:Teacher nameDate of birthSchool namePosition (ie typist, lab technician)SalaryQualificationsRemarksThis series was transferred to PROV from the Education History Unit of the Department of Education and Training.
