Integrated single-cell chromatin and transcriptomic analyses of human peripheral immune cells in patients with alopecia areata.

To investigate gene expression and epigenetic changes in circulating immune cells across varying levels of alopecia areata severity by scRNA-seq and scATAC-seq. We performed scRNA-seq and scATAC-seq on peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) isolated by Ficoll-Paque density gradient centrifugation from severe and mild alopecia areata patients and healthy controls.
