Subpolar North Atlantic Ocean Biogeochemistry and Overturning in the Subpolar North Atlantic Program (OSNAP) Workshop, 2024

A half-day workshop was convened by the U.S. team of the Overturning in the Subpolar North Atlantic Program (OSNAP) during the Ocean Sciences Meeting held in February, 2024, in New Orleans. The workshop included an in-person and remote option. The objectives of the workshop were twofold. The first was to discuss approaches to quantifying and monitoring carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen (O2) sequestration, storage, and transport in the Subpolar North Atlantic (SPNA) and to inform relevant process understanding. The second was to strengthen synergies and facilitate collaboration between the different physical and biogeochemical programs focused on the high-latitude North Atlantic.
