Lysobacter capsici strain K-Hf-H2 inhibited mycelial growth of Aphanomyces euteiches, Fusarium avenaceum and Fusarium oxysporum strains during laboratory assays and suppressed root rot complex in field peas grown under controlled growth chamber conditions. The strain has great promise to be developed as a potential biocontrol agent against these pathogens.
