This paper examines the strategy in implementing Islamic education policies in Indonesia, highlighting existing problems, possible solutions, and strategic policies in diverse socio-cultural contexts, religious interpretations, and policy frameworks. The study employs the Analytical Network Process (ANP) as an approach to determining the priority of strategic policy implementation, assessing the implementation of Islamic education policy in Indonesia. This study undertakes in-depth interviews with policymakers from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, academics, and experts in this field. The finding of this paper reveals that the priority of strategies to assess the quality of Islamic educational policy in Indonesia is optimization in graduate contribution, the association of Islamic educational institutions, the role of graduates, and the government’s role. In this regard, optimizing the government’s role obtained the highest score as the most prioritized compared to others. This study also found pertinent problems and solutions before obtaining the most priority strategies using ANP procedures. This paper posits that an Indonesian framework, which accommodates both uniformity and local contexts, could enhance the quality and accessibility of Islamic education in Indonesia.
