Neutralization of truncated procalcitonin by antibody treatment protects vascular barrier integrity during systemic inflammation

Differentially expressed genes were identified in lung endothelial cells of CLP-treated mice compared to sham-treated controls and after treatment with an antibody against truncated murine procalcitonin. Overall design: Sepsis was induced in mice by CLP (Cecal Ligation Puncture). Some mice were treated with an antibody against murine truncated procalcitonin. Endothelial cells from the lungs of CLP-treated, CLP plus antibody treatment, sham-treated and untreated mice were isolated and subjected to RNAseq analysis.
