Measuring HPV vaccination uptake and willingness to be vaccinated and associated factors among university students in Italy

The dataset was used in a cross-sectional study aimed to provide insight into potential predictors of HPV vaccination uptake and willingness to get vaccinated. The study was carried out in a month, between March and April 2022 and involved University students aged from 18-30 years old, attending University “Magna Græcia” of Catanzaro. An anonymous survey was sent via institutional email through a URL code consisting of four sections. The first section gathered information about the participants’ sociodemographic characteristics. The second section investigated vaccine hesitancy tested with the adult Vaccine Hesitancy Scale (aVHS) and the beliefs on vaccination decision-making. The third section investigated adherence to recommended (i.e., HPV) and mandatory (i.e., dTap-IPV) vaccinations during adolescence, and among unvaccinated responders, willingness to receive missed vaccinations and related reasons.
