The first volume in this series is identified as a notebook and records criminal and civil cases between 1900 and 1903, consisting of handwritten notes. The volume also includes pasted typewritten copy of "Proceedings Before the [Mining] Warden" dated February 1894.The second volume relates to civil cases, and most of the entries are brief and cryptic. The only year noted on any of the entries is 1864. The cover is annotated "Police Reports August 1867". This may have applied to an intended future use of the volume that was never implemented.
