Our study aims to comprehensively understand the epigenetic effects induced by the space environment on mammals. To achieve this aim, we analyze the male WT mice housed under environments as the microgravity (space environment) or partial gravity (1/6 g) by using centrifuge in Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) "KIBO" of the International Space Station (ISS) on orbit for 25-35 days respectively. After recovered these mice on the ground, two days later, skeletal muscle samples were collected. For soleus which is anti-gravity muscle, transcriptome analysis by next-generation sequencing technology is performed about each organ to examine alteration of gene expression in the space.
