Paraburkholderia terrae KU-64 was isolated as 2,6-dinitrophenol-degrading bacterium. Beside nitrophenols, this strain also degrades cyclohexanecarboxylate. The complete genome sequence of the strain will help to accelerating the research progress to understand the molecular mechanisms of the 2,6-dinitrophenol and cyclohexanecarboxylate degradation.
