Heron Island coral transition rates

Data gives rates of transition between different benthic species groups at Heron Island in a series of permanent quadrats at 3 sites (exposed crest, protected crest and exposed pools). The 9 species groups are based on taxonomic and morphological considerations, and include free space. In total, they cover 72 coral and 9 algal species. Temporal coverage is currently from 1962 to 1989.
