资源简介:
Zika virus (ZIKV) is a mosquito-borne flavivirus consisting of historical African and epidemic-associated Asian lineages. The latter can access the central nervous system and cause microcephaly in the developing foetus through infection and depletion of neural stem and progenitor cells. The molecular mechanisms involved in this depletion response are grossly unknown for cells arising from CZS-affected children. Here, we sought to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the neuropathology of ZIKV infection in NPCs. Overall design: The Neural precursor cell line NPC-608-1 was cultured under monolayer conditions and infected for 12 and 24 hours with Zika virus (Strain KU365779.1)
