Bacterial communities in oilfield

Soil samples were collected from the Chunguang oilfield within the Junggar basin, China. The drilling activities have provided evidence that Chunguang oilfield exhibits a complex overlapping oil-gas accumulation zone, characterized by the presence of multiple sets of Neogene, Paleogene, Cretaceous, Jurassic, Carboniferous. Furthermore, this area showcases diverse oil grades and reservoir types, thereby indicating a promising potential for enhanced storage capacity.
