Diversity of bacteria in mildewed tobacco leaves

Mildew poses a serious threat to tobacco production safety, but little is known about the rich and rare microbial subcommunity structure and metabolic characteristics in mildew tobacco. In this study, we used high-throughput sequencing technology to determine the differences in the composition, diversity and co-occurrence patterns of abundant and rare bacterial and fungal subcommunities in moldy and normal tobacco leaves, and explored the relationship between moldy microorganisms and metabolites in combination with tobacco metabolic profiles.
