Present and Future Olive Suitability in the Mediterranean
Climate change is expected to alter the environmental conditions governing agricultural production, requiring robust approaches to assess future crop suitability and production potential. This dataset presents the climate-driven shifts for olive (Olea europaea L.) cultivation across the Mediterranean Basin by integrating temperature, precipitation, soil, altitude and solar radiation requirements derived from the FAO EcoCrop database. Current and future climatic suitability were assessed under the CMIP6 SSP245 and SSP585 scenarios for three future periods (2041–2060, 2061–2080, and 2081–2100),
(Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, 简称FAO)EcoCrop数据库的温度、降水、土壤、海拔及太阳辐射适宜性要求,以此呈现地中海盆地范围内油橄榄(Olea europaea L.)种植受气候驱动的适宜性演变。
