A dataset for quantifying the impacts of seven different management practices on the surface albedo of winter wheat fields (nitrogen fertilizer, herbicide, fungicide, sowing, harvest, tillage, and crop residues) by analyzing observed daily albedo dynamics from eight European flux-tower sites with interpretable machine learning (i.e. random forest model). This dataset includes the extracted surface albedo, climate and ecological features, as well as the timings of management practices from ICOS and EFDC database.We also provided the R procedure for random forest modelling in two cropping scenarios (1) during the growing and fallow periods (2) during the fallow periods only .
