Metatranscriptomic characterisation of oysters from Australia

There is an extensive diversity of RNA viruses in many organisms. There is a gap of knowledge on the evolutionary history, spread and diversity of RNA viruses from oysters. Here, we investigated and compared the RNA virome of oysters, collected in the NSW area, by performing RNA-sequencing and analysing the meta-transcriptome for the presence of RNA viruses.
