资源简介:
This dataset originates from a full-scale experimental study investigating wave-induced impact pressures on stepped revetments. The experiments were conducted in the Large Wave Flume (GWK) at the Coastal Research Center in Hannover, Germany. A range of hydrodynamic conditions was tested, replicating irregular wave loading scenarios typical for coastal structures. The primary focus was to quantify impact pressures, rise times, and impact frequencies under various wave conditions to improve the understanding of wave impact characteristics at stepped revetments. Investigations of wave reflection and wave run-up and wave overtopping can be found in Schoonees et al. (2021) (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.coastaleng.2021.103887) and Schoonees et al. (2022) (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.coastaleng.2021.104045).
The dataset contains three key components:
1. Instrumentation Setup – Positioning of pressure transducers and wave gauges along the stepped revetment.
2. Test Conditions – Detailed incident wave conditions of each conducted tests.
3. Impact Data – Wave impact pressures and rise times of different non-exceedance probabilities, and recorded impact counts for each transducer of each test.
This dataset is the basis for the findings presented in Herbst et al. (2025) (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.coastaleng.2025.104705) and is valuable for researchers studying wave impact characteristics on coastal structures for design purposes. Raw data of individual pressure transducers are not part of this dataset. These can be requested through the Forschungszentrum Küste (FZK).
