The lactic acid bacterium species Oenococcus oeni performs malolactic fermentation in wine. Strains isolated from diverse types of wines have been well characterized at the genomic level, but never from distillation wines. Producing the genomes of O. oeni strains isolated from these wines should make it possible to determine whether they have specific characteristics compared to other strains found in table wines. For this purpose, the genomes of 49 strains isolated during MLF in distillation wines were produced by Illumina technology using libraries of 300 bp paired-end reads. After assembly of the genomes, their phylogenetic positions and genetic characteristics were searched.
