The Dalbergia odorifera genome project

Dalbergia odorifera T. Chen (Leguminosae) tree has been widely employed not only as a kind of medicinal material in the pharmaceutical industry, but also famous for luxury furniture and crafts, owing to sweet fragrance, beautiful surface, high density and economic value of the heartwood. To obtain a high-quality reference genome sequence of D. odorifera, we combined Pacific Bioscience single-molecule real-time sequencing, Illumina paired-end sequencing, 10X Genomics linked-reads, and Hi-C data, result in a chromosome-scale reference sequence.
