VSV-EBOV rapidly protects macaques against infection with the 2014/15 Ebola virus outbreak strain

This study analyzed how many days between vaccination with VSV-EBOV and lethal EBOV challenge are needed for protection in macaques. Results showed that 7 days as a minimum between vaccination and challenge offered 100% protection. The study is published in Science (Marzi et al., Science August 2015).
