UCLA SLAGC Wildlife Overpass Project: Fungi Sample Collection Data

This project seeks to support the restoration of the wildlife corridor currently being constructed over the US-101 freeway. We collected hyperlocal fungi samples from the Santa Monica Mountains and inoculated oak tree saplings to be planted on the overpass. The aim is to establish mycorrhizal associations with the saplings so they can most naturally integrate into the landscape of the corridor. This dataset includes the location, species, and date of all samples collected in the 2023-24 year.
