The genetic basis of worker reproduction in Bombus terrestris

We examined the transcriptomic changes associated with worker reproduction in the brain, fat body, ovary and eggs of B. terrestris. RNA-Seq of four Bombus terrestris tissue types (brain, fat body, ovary and eggs) in two/one phenotypes of workers (ovary active and ovary inactive for brain, fat body and ovary, ovary active for eggs), with three biological and three technical replicates per tissue/phenotype combination (for brain, fat body and ovary) and two biological replicates for eggs.
