AVJNF: Vilsted Sø, Odonata survey

The lake Vilsted Sø was restored in 1998 after 100 years of being agricultural land. It is one of the largest lakes (450 ha) in North Jutland. Aage V. Jensen Nature Foundation acquired the lake and the surrounding 400 ha of wetlands, meadows and swamp forests in 2005. The area is managed on daily basis by the Danish Nature Agency. Only a few nature surveys have been made in the area so far. The survey of dragonflies and damselflies conducted by biologist Jørgen Peter Kjeldsen, Ornit.dk in 2021 is one of those.
