Level of Living among Persons with Disabilities 2007

This dataset is derived from "Level of Living among Persons with Disabilities 2007", a survey conducted by Statistics Norway (SSB) on behalf of the Norwegian Directorate of Health, NTNU Social Research, Norwegian Social Research and the National Centre for Documentation on Disability.

The survey serves multiple purposes. Firstly, to examine disabled persons' living and working conditions, as well as conditions relating to education, health transportation and social networks. Secondly, to observe the hindrances disabled persons experience to limit their participation in work, education, social networks etc. Thirdly, to compare the use of different sets of questions that are used internationally to identify persons that are considered disabled. Fourthly, to describe development over time, through a comparison with the previous survey on the level of living among disabled, conducted by SSB in 1995.

In the survey, the target group of disabled persons is isentified by means of a screening survey. This survey is documented in a separate file, also available at NSD.
