Glaciological Studies on Vega Island

Field activities for the 1999/2000 summer campaign: Glaciology Group: a) Stake network surveying and computation of net balamce, ice velocities and ice deformation in selected places of Vega Island, Antarctica. b) Mapping structural features of the ablation areas in Bahia del Diablo. c) Mapping permafrost features in Bahia del Diablo and Cape Lamb. d) GPS surveying of land-ice limits and suitable sites for ground control of sattellite imagery.
