Clean reads of the Passer montanus

Observed across a large altitudinal gradient and a widely-distributed geographical range, the Tree Sparrow (Passer montanus) is a species commonly associated with human beings. It is closely related to human settlement and cultivation which is predominately associated with farmland and agricultural areas, feeding on grains and seeds from cultivated cereals. It has been the focus of a large number of ecological, behavioural and genetic studies. Here, we assembled and generated a high-quality de novo genome of the Passer montanus to provide reference genome for further population genetics and genomic studies.
