Method involves the isolation of genomic DNA from keel-resistant cruciferous plants Brassica; screening of isolated genomic DNA for gene fad2, that encodes a polypeptide without delta-12-desaturase oleate activity, and a gene fad3, which encodes a polypeptide without delta-15-desaturase linoleate activity; and identification of cruciferous keel-resistant keel plants when these genes are detected fad2 and fad2 in genomic DNA.EFFECT: invention provides an efficient method for identifying cruciferous keel-resistant keel plants. 3 cl, 9 dwg, 6 tbl, 8 ex
