Unravelling the phytome of Plumbago zeylanica through transcriptomics approach

The present study has been proposed to carry out RNA sequencing from the leaf and root extract of P. zeylanica to bring out the whole transcriptome profile through de novo transcriptomics approach, which will reveal the bio-active metabolites with potent therapeutic properties. Further, the lead bioactive compounds will be predicted by virtual structural screening of drug ligands for identifying macromolecular target interactions and docking ability. These results could bring out the clear picture of structure based drug design from the lead compounds in Plumbago zeylanica.
