RIoTBench is a real-time IoT benchmark suite specifically designed for evaluating the performance of distributed stream processing platforms (DSPS) in IoT applications. This dataset was developed by researchers from the Department of Computing and Data Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science, and includes 27 common IoT tasks that are categorized and implemented as reusable microbenchmarks. Additionally, the dataset includes four IoT application benchmarks that leverage various data stream semantics of DSPS and are developed based on common IoT data preprocessing, statistical summarization and predictive analytics patterns. These applications incorporate four streaming workloads derived from real-world IoT observations, with peak streaming rates ranging from 500 to 10,000 messages per second and diverse frequency distributions. RIoTBench aims to assist DSPS researchers in conducting performance analysis and resource scheduling, and provide support for IoT practitioners to evaluate DSPS platforms.
