Effect of maternal metabolic stress on drosophila progeny intestines

In this experiment we exmained the impact of maternal metabolic stress on progeny gene expression in the drosophila intestine. Overall design: To investigate the effect of maternal metabolic stress on progeny intestines, we crossed control females and females expressing InR-DN in the germline to Oregon R males. We isolated intestines from the adult progeny and preppeed RNA using a Tripure based RNA extraction procotol. the mRNA was then sequenced with assistance from the UTSW sequencing core.
