Large-scale deletions and duplications are an important source of genetic and transcriptomic variation. CNVs contribute to the variation of gene expression in multiple ways including gene dosage effects, coding region disruption, and deletion or duplication of regulatory sequences. In this study, we aimed to characterize the impact of CNVs located within coding, intergenic, up-, and downstream gene regions on the expression of transcripts.
