Spatial and temporal distances between sampling sites of the TREC expedition

This dataset contains pairwise temporal and spatial distance matrices between 349 sampling sites from the TREC (Traversing European Coastlines) expedition. These matrices provide the number of days and kilometers separating each pair of sites, offering valuable context for analyzing ecological, environmental, and biogeographical patterns across the TREC sampling network. In addition to the full matrices, dedicated files capture distances between the TARA and LSI types of sites. The data are formatted as matrices and provided in CSV format for ease of use in downstream analyses such as clustering, regression modeling, or network-based studies of environmental similarity.
