We performed 16S V3V4 region sequencing of the caecal content of 57 laying hens. These birds are divided in four groups from 2 lines divergently selected on their residual feed intake: R+ (non efficient) and R- (efficient), fed 2 diets :CTR as a control diet ( a commercial diet based on wheat and soybean), and LE, a low-energy high fibre diet (based on corn and sunflower).
