CowRumIA Bovine Vocalization Dataset: Stress and Calm Vocalizations of Beef and Dairy Cattle

A corpus of 624 labeled WAV recordings of bovine vocalizations across four behavioral categories: stressed and calm beef cattle, and stressed and calm dairy cattle (including calves). Collected at the Posta Zootécnica of the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes and Rancho La Laguna del Rocío (Venaderos, Aguascalientes, México) between February and March 2026, and supplemented with recordings from the Tierstimmenarchiv (Museum für Naturkunde Berlin) and open-access platforms. Labels validated by domain experts in bovine behavior and animal production.
