Supporting datasets for global mercury flows model

Understanding mercury (Hg) behaviors in society—from its initial entry and transformation within sectors to its transportation and flow through the waste stream across sectors—is crucial for quantifying Hg emissions and prioritizing control actions. The datasets including Hg content of ores and fuels as well as Hg distribution in sectors and waste disposal process are crucial to construct Hg flow models.The datasets contained (1) Hg content of typical raw materials and fuels, (2) Application profiles of different air pollution control device combinations in coal-fired power plants, (3) Hg distribution factor in coal-fired power plants and coal-fired industrial boilers, (4) Application profiles of different air pollution control device combinations for convention-regulated nonferrous metal smelting, (5) Hg distribution factor in coal-fired power plants and coal-fired industrial boilers, (6) Hg distribution factor in nonferrous metal smelting, (5) Hg distribution factor in cement clinker production and iron and steel production, (7) Disposal proportions and pathways of fly ash, coal cangue and desulfurization gypsum.
