Title: VR Interior Design Interventions and Psychophysiological Stress (Heart Rate & Galvanic Skin Response)Description: This dataset accompanies the article “Assessing Interior Design Interventions on Psychophysiological Stress in a Simulated Dental Clinic: A Virtual-Reality Study.” It contains anonymized participant survey responses and physiological metrics (heart rate and electrodermal activity / galvanic skin response) collected from university students exposed to a neutral virtual dental operatory and single‑factor interior design interventions (lighting type, window view, surface colour, window size) in an immersive head‑mounted VR environment. Primary outcomes include condition‑level mean and variability of heart rate (beats per minute) and tonic/phasic electrodermal indicators, along with self‑reported affective or stress-related survey items (e.g., perceived anxiety, comfort) and demographics (age, sex, faculty). Data were recorded in controlled laboratory sessions following a baseline rest period. Raw time‑series signals (if shared) are provided per participant per condition; processed summary tables aggregate metrics used for statistical analyses (repeated measures ANOVA across conditions). Personally identifying information was never collected; indirect identifiers were removed or generalized. The dataset enables replication of all reported descriptive statistics and inferential tests, and secondary analyses on physiological responses to environmental design features in simulated healthcare settings.
