Exploring an essential biomarker in pulmonary fibrosis: an integrated and cross-disease approach with spatial transcriptomics and single-cell RNA sequencing (Spatial Transcriptomics)

We cross-sectionally examined various interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) via spatial transcriptomics and single-cell RNA-Seq (scRNA-seq) analysis of human samples. We unveiled crucial gene expression patterns and molecules central to fibrosis, establishing prognostic significance of this molecule in unclassifiable ILDs. Overall design: We performed spatial transcriptomic analysis on 24 cryobiopsy specimens of patients with a variety of ILDs.
