Draft genome sequence of aerobic anoxygenic phototrophic bacterium Roseobacter sp. OBYS 0001, isolated from a coastal seawater in Otsuchi Bay, Japan

Here, we report the draft genome sequences of aerobic anoxygenic phototrophic bacterial strain Roseobacter sp. OBYS 0001, isolated from a coastal seawater in Ostuchi Bay, Japan. The genome sequence could be useful for our understanding of the variation of photosynthetic genes among aerobic anoxygenic phototrophs belonging to the genus Roseobacter.
