Hydrological Connectivity and Ecohydrological Processes in Oasis Wetlands Database (HCI_WetlandDB)
The dataset HCI_WetlandDB contains long-term ecohydrological observations collected from oasis wetlands in northwestern China. It integrates daily meteorological data (precipitation and evapotranspiration), soil water content at multiple depths, groundwater depth, salt efflorescence, soil physicochemical properties, vegetation diversity, and soil microbial diversity, together with correlation matrices linking hydrological connectivity to soil–plant–microbial processes. This dataset provides a comprehensive basis for evaluating the effects of hydrological connectivity (HCI) on soil biogeochemistry, vegetation community structure, and ecosystem stability under arid climate conditions. The data are available as an Excel file with eight thematic modules, each corresponding to one component of the ecohydrological system. Researchers may use this dataset to reproduce the analyses in the manuscript, conduct meta-analyses, or further explore the multi-scale interactions of hydrology, vegetation, and soil in arid wetlands.
