This dataset is a spatially distributed dataset of forest vegetation types classified via remote sensing images with boundary delineation, at a scale of 1:100,000, for Beijing during 2013 to 2017. It is derived from the China Forest Vegetation Survey Project of the Research Institute of Forest Resources Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry. The project was developed based on partial historical vegetation distribution maps, forest distribution maps, 2012 TM data, 1990s TM data, field plot survey data and other relevant materials, and was processed and compiled in strict accordance with the relevant regulations specified in the *Specification for Forest Vegetation Classification, Investigation and Mapping* (2019). The data is vector data, containing attribute fields including forest order subgroup, forest order, forest series group, and other similar categories. This dataset offers data support and services for forest resource investigation, planning and design, and other relevant applications.
