The Green Army Team will work on a landscape scale conservation program in TasmaniaÍs midlands, on a special project at Greening AustraliaÍs community nursery, and bushland management on an University of Tasmania (UTAS) reserve.
Team members will assist revegetating 250 hectares and enhancing 800 hectares of remnant vegetation. They will build and install individual plant guards/ cages over hundreds of widely spaced seedlings to restore degraded woodlands, collect native seed and manage weeds. The team will also assist flora and fauna surveys and monitoring and evaluation programs with project scientific officers and partnering UTAS researchers.
The project will include nursery work at Greening AustraliaÍs community nursery and UTAS bushland reserve management.
