Structural geology, sedimentology and geological mapping of the Robertson Bay Group along a traverse from the Pitkevitch Glacier to the Millen Range, North Victoria Land

A traverse from the head of Pitkevitch Glacier to the Millen Range was undertaken to investigate details of the structural geology and sedimentology of the Robertson Bay Group and its correlation with Bowers Group rocks in the Millen Range. The investigation was designed to extend previous structural analyses in the Robertson Bay and to investigate in detail the relations between structures in the Robertson Bay Group of the Admirality Mountains and its supposed continuation in the Millen Range. The sites investigated include the Mt Faget region, Mt Adam summit, Mt Black Prince and the previous uninvestigated volcanic complex, Frustration Ridge, Gadsden Peak, Mt Shelton, Tucker Glacier, Boss Peak, Thomson Peak, Turrett Peak, the ridge adjacent to Toboggan Gap, The Sphinx, Mt Aorangi and Crosscut Peak. Galatos Peak, Degoes Bluff and Boggs Valley were examined on Wilson Group rocks and the Rennick Schists.
