STUDY PURPOSE: Aberrant angiogenesis could contribute to cognitive impairment, representing a therapeutic target for preventing dementia. The purpose of this study was to test the relevance of angiogenesis to human cognitive aging. We evaluated associations of circulating blood markers of angiogenesis with brain aging trajectories. DATA COLLECTED: This dataset contains de-identified data from the primary cohort used on the originating publication. It contains data from 435 subjects with an average age of 74 years. Variables include longitudinal cognitive assessments, angiogenesis blood markers, structural brain imaging features, demographics, and clinical data. DATA USAGE NOTES:
