Discrete water samples for biogeochemical parameters collected in the Belize River, tributaries, estuary and surrounding coastal ocean - Belize, 2018 V2.

This is an update to a previous version to include additional parameters (Total Alkalinity (TA), Dissolved Inorganic Carbon (DIC), δ13C-DIC). Data were collected at the end of October into the beginning of November 2018 (30/10/2018 – 11/11/2018), within the Belize River, tributaries and surrounding coastal zone. Coastal sampling focused on trying to capture the influence of the Belize River in the coastal zone and the expected flow of river water once in the coastal zone. Data were collected for a range of biogeochemical parameters – dissolved organic carbon (DOC), Chlorophyll, Nutrients, Coloured Dissolved Organic Matter (CDOM) and Fluorescing Dissolved Organic Matter (FDOM), Total Alkalinity (TA), Dissolved Inorganic Carbon (DIC) and δ13C-DIC. TA, DIC and δ13C-DIC were collected at same time but analysed after the initial data submission. Data were collected as part of the Commonwealth Marine Economies Programme Belize (CMEP Belize). Additional data were collected to enhance this dataset in January and October 2019.
